How to play pétanque
Get as close as possible to the little wooden target ball—the cochonnet. That is the heart of pétanque.
- Draw a circleBoth feet stay inside while you throw.
- Throw the cochonnetTeams then take turns placing their boules closest to it.
- Score the endThe nearest team earns one point for each boule closer than its opponent’s best.
